Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani led his team to a 5-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 4 of the National League Championship Series as they swept their way to back-to-back World Series appearances!

Shohei Ohtani had the best first inning that a baseball player could possibly have - then went on to have the greatest postseason game by a player ever.

After recording three strikeouts in the top of the inning, Ohtani stepped into the box and launched his first of three home runs on the night

His teammates Tommy Edman and Teoscar Hernandez would bring in two more runs following his solo shot to go up 3-0.

But Ohtani's night wouldn't stop there. He would go on to strike out 10 batters across six shutout innings, giving up two hits and three walks.

How does he follow it up? Launching a second home run that went 469 feet - becoming the first pitcher in MLB Postseason history to have a multi-home run game.

After giving up two baserunners in the top of the seventh inning with no outs, Ohtani's night was finished as reliever Alex Vesia came in to get out of the jam.

Then, in typical fashion, Ohtani launched his third home run of the night to put his team up 5-0 - ending arguably the greatest performance in a game in MLB history.

Milwaukee would go on to score just four runs across all four games as the Dodgers' starting pitching dominated.

Between Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow, and Blake Snell, the four threw a combined 20.2 innings, giving up just two runs on nine hits - posting a total of 35 strikeouts and just seven walks.

Roki Sasaki would close things out for the Dodgers yet again in the ninth inning.

The Dodgers are now 9-1 this postseason, sweeping both the Brewers (4-0) and Cincinnati Reds (3-0) and defeating the Philadelphia Phillies in three games (2-1).

Milwaukee would start to rally in the top of the eighth inning, but managed to score just one run on a Brice Turang groundout.

They would finish the night with four hits as they went 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position, while the Dodgers finished 1-for-7.

Los Angeles now awaits the winner of the Seattle Mariners-Toronto Blue Jays series that is now heading to a Game 6 (Mariners up 3-2).

The first game of the 2025 World Series is scheduled for Friday, October 24th.
