From hostile one-word answers to a bizarre rant against AI and data, Perth Glory manager Adam Griffiths was again compelling viewing after his team's surprise win over Melbourne City at AAMI Park on Sunday evening.

Prior to his permanent signing as Glory boss, Griffiths went viral for a hilarious tangent about goats and mountain lions in response to continued questioning about his desire for the full-term gig.

It appears we could be in for plenty more entertainment from the 46-year-old after some more entertaining comments from Griffiths, who opened Sunday's post-game presser by hailing a Perth-based sponsor as "the most important factor behind the win today".

Prompted to discuss more about the on-field performance, Griffiths then had a one-word assessment of why the Glory were successful in their first win away to City since January 2021.

"Hunger," Griffiths said, before eventually clarifying with a further when asked for further explanation.

"A lot of work. Clear message. Belief."

According to Griffiths, the Perth Glory team, who had conceded 18 unanswered goals in four consecutive head-to-head losses leading into this clash, had not once touched on their dreadful recent H2H history when preparing for the contest.

"There's too much data in the world," Griffiths said.

"AI just wants to suck it all up and spit it all out. We don't care about stats anymore. AI cannot replace us, because we have emotion and feeling. Okay? So that's the number one thing we delivered today: emotion and feeling."

The Glory boss then induced more chuckles from the press pack when completely tuning out of a question to pick up his phone and read a text message from his wife: "Congratulations, gorgeous. Love you."
