The 35-year-old A-League veteran picked up his fifth booking of the season at the weekend and has earned an automatic one-game ban to be served on Thursday.

Luke Brattan was booked in stoppage time of Macarthur's incredible 5-4 win in Newcastle last Friday night, shortly before Luke Vickery's match-winning goal in the 96th minute.

With that being his third consecutive booking and his fifth already from ten appearances this A-League season, Brattan will be required to serve a mandatory one-game suspension when Macarthur play Western Sydney Wanderers on January 1.

He will then be available for the Bulls' home game against Auckland on Monday 5 January.
