Here's a snapshot of how your club manager felt about their respective results at the weekend.

Central Coast 1-2 Auckland FC

Warren Moon (Central Coast Mariners): "We've played three top teams in the last three weeks and we've gone toe-to-toe with them in the sense that we've been competitive. Auckland played a lot good passes into areas that tested us and it's something to learn from. We were probably guilty of being a bit passive and inviting the pressure in the first half."

Steve Corica (Auckland FC): "I thought in the first half we looked dangerous and kept the ball really well. It's always tough coming here. I'm disappointed that we didn't defend (their equaliser) well. We're improving and getting better. I'd like to keep a few more clean sheets than we have been. At the moment we're not too far behind where we were (last season)."

Western Sydney Wanderers 0-0 Brisbane Roar

Alen Stajcic (Western Sydney Wanderers): "They (Brisbane) are a tough nut to crack and proved so tonight. I thought we had three or four really big chances in that game. We didn't properly execute a couple of counter-attacks in the second half. It's frustrating as I thought we were the better team, but they were defending for their lives. I suppose it's a good thing (that a draw is disappointing)."

Michael Valkanis (Brisbane Roar): "We knew coming here today that they (Western Sydney) needed this win. We would have loved to have pinched a win, but in the end a point away from home is very important, especially in this period where we are playing four games away from home and then go into a jam-packed January with even more games than the EPL teams have. We're happy to get a point today."

Melbourne Victory 2-1 Adelaide United

Arthur Diles (Melbourne Victory): "It's not so much relief, it's just a win that the players deserved but hadn't gotten in the last few weeks. This group is very together and during moments like this it shows. Today (Nikos) showed his quality and I expect that every week. The two goals tonight but beautiful but I'm disappointed that there weren't at least a couple of more. When scoring has been your Achilles' heel recently, I'll take two of them."

Airton Androili (Adelaide United): "I think we started the game well, apart from being a bit sloppy passing. I have to compliment the Victory as I think they put a good game today under a lot of pressure. They made it very difficult for us. We need to make sure we stick to what we do well. Our pressing was a bit off and it felt like the boys were a bit second to the press and a bit late."

Perth Glory 0-1 Sydney FC

Adam Griffiths (Perth Glory): "Sydney FC is at the top for a reason and I felt like we ran over the top of them and showed a lot of character. We just didn't take our chances. The boys pushed hard in the heat, but you have to score goals. We need to go away and look at how to create more clear-cut goal scoring moments, but there were a lot of positives in terms of the energy and the fire."

Ufuk Talay (Sydney FC): "For the first 20 minutes I thought we were very good with the ball. After that period we didn't do very well. Second half our defence was quite resilient around the box. These are important games when you need to dig deep and grind and we walk away with a very valuable three points. I'm very proud of what the boys produced in defending their box."

Wellington Phoenix 1-3 Newcastle Jets

Giancarlo Italiano (Wellington Phoenix): "First and foremost, I got it wrong. That was a frustrating game. You can make all the excuses you want, but we weren't good enough in the crucial moments. We should have been in front in the first half. We were very naive in the defending. It's unacceptable losing 3-1 at home like that. If this group is going to do anything, they need to mature very quickly, because they're running out of games."

Mark Milligan (Newcastle Jets): "Today was important for us because, as I've said a few times, the performance last week against City at home was decent. This game can be ruthless at times and you very rarely get what you deserve. You have to go and earn everything that you get and today I felt they did that."

Chances are you’re about to lose.
