VfL Wolfsburg have strengthened their right win options for the second half of the season after securing the services of Andreas Skov Olsen from Belgian champions Club Brügge.
The 25-year-old, who will wear the number seven shirt, joins the Lower Saxony side immediately and has signed a contract through to 2029.
“We’re delighted to have signed Skov Olsen, a player who is dynamic, has strong technical skills and extremely dangerous in front of goal,” said VfL sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz.
“He has very good technique and, with his pace and strong left foot, will be a valuable addition to our attacking department. We’re sure we can offer him the perfect conditions at VfL Wolfsburg to continue his development and make the most of his abilities.”
“I’m very happy to finally be here,” says Skov Olsen, who put pen to paper on his contract before his first training session on Friday afternoon.
Skov Olsen will join Danish international colleagues Jonas Wind and Joachim Mæhle at hois new club.
“I can’t wait to get to know the team and meet some of my friends from Denmark. Wolfsburg are a great club, I’ve heard a lot of good things about them. It’s an important step in my career and I hope to have a good time here.”
The 25-year-old Dane began his senior career at boyhood club FC Nordsjaelland before joining Bologna FC in Serie A in 2019. After 71 appearances for the Italian top-flight side, he signed for Club Brügge in 2022 and went on to play 124 matches for the Belgian side, including 11 in the Champions League.
He underlined his attacking prowess at domestic and European level, registering 49 goals and 30 assists to help his side lift two league titles and a Belgian Super Cup during his time in Bruges.
