Hibernian were beaten 2-1 by Legia Warsaw on Thursday night in the first leg of their Europa Conference League playoff tie.

The Polish visitors were in control for much of the evening as Jean-Pierre Nsame converted from the penalty spot after 35 minutes before Pawel Wszolek struck in first-half stoppage time to double the lead.

But Hibs found a late lifeline when substitute Josh Mulligan pulled one back in the 87th minute, setting up a more finely balanced return leg in Warsaw.
