Palace to face Zrinjski as AZ take on Noah after Conference League playoff draw

Crystal Palace face a trip to Bosnia & Herzegovina to take on Zrinjski after the Conference League Draw playoff draw took place in Nyon, Switzerland, on Friday afternoon, setting the eight fixtures to be played next month.

The other standout ties in the draw see former finalists Fiorentina face a tough task to make it back to the promised land, as they were drawn against tough Polish opponents, Jagiellonia.

AZ Alkmaar will face Armenian side Noah, whilst Finnish champions KuPS also head to Poland, where they will take on Lech Poznan.

The Conference League play-off, which will be played over two legs on February 19th and 26th, will feature eight teams that have qualified automatically for the last 16, along with eight teams that have finished in the top eight of the League Phase.

Those teams are Strasbourg, Rakow, AEK Athens, Sparta Prague, Rayo Vallecano, Shakhtar, Mainz and AEK Larnaca.

The teams that finished between 9th and 16th were seeded, whilst the teams that were placed 17th to 24th were not, leaving pairs of teams that could be pitted together from the corresponding sides of the draw.

This also sorted the bracket for the entire knockout phase of the competition.

The most interesting tie, arguably, is that of Fiorentina and Jagiellonia. The pair both got to the quarter-finals last season, with Real Betis, the beaten finalists in 2024/25, beating both sides on their way to the showpiece event.

It has been a troubling season, however, for La Viola, who have struggled in Serie A, and, despite an upturn in form in recent weeks, find themselves in a battle to avoid relegation. The same can't be said for their Polish opponents, who are currently third in their domestic league, just one point off the top.

Elsewhere, intrigue will follow Crystal Palace throughout their run in this season's Conference League. As the sole Premier League representative, they are favourites for the competition. Their draw has been kind, as they take on Zrinjski - a side they dwarf in terms of talent and financial might.
