Former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly open to a move to Real Madrid if a solid offer is made.

The German manager swiftly distanced himself from links to Los Blancos this week after the La Liga side sacked Xabi Alonso before being knocked out of the Copa del Rey just days afterwards.

"First of all, I think it’s another sign that something isn’t quite right there at the moment. This has absolutely nothing to do with me, and it didn’t trigger anything for me either."

Klopp is enjoying life as as Head of Global Soccer for the Red Bull group of clubs, and as reports suggested he will never manage Real Madrid anytime soon, journalist Florian Plettenburg suggests differently.

“Jürgen #Klopp is seriously considering a return as head coach should Real Madrid make a concrete move for the summer, as exclusively revealed.

"#RealMadrid have always fascinated him. He is happy at Red Bull and has a strong identification with the Red Bull project, but there are at least two projects for which he would return if EVERYTHING fits: Real Madrid and the German national team.

"Klopp and Real Madrid - one to watch for summer 2026."

Klopp has stated before that he would "never coach a different team in England" than Liverpool, but he never said anything about one of their biggest European rivals.

The legendary manager may well be very comfortable in the inner circle of the executive world, but if Real Madrid comes calling, it may be hard to say no to a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Chances are you’re about to lose.
