Sporting Portugal defender Jeremiah St. Juste has reportedly arrived in Rotterdam ahead of a return to Eredivisie giants Feyenoord.

Rijnmond journalist Dennis Kranenburg reported that St. Juste, 29, arrived in Rotterdam on Monday ahead of a medical exam. The Sporting Portugal defender is set to join his old club Feyenoord, whom he left in 2019 to join German outfit FSV Mainz 05.

Managed by Robin van Persie, the struggling Rotterdam club are looking to strengthen their backline amid injury troubles - centre-backs Gernot Trauner and Thomas Beelen have been out since the summer, while right-back Givairo Read has been ruled out until March.

At Sporting, St. Juste hasn't played a minute all season, with his contract expiring in the summer of 2026.

Feyenoord lost eight of their last 11 games across all competitions, with their latest defeat coming in the Rotterdam derby against Sparta, who beat Van Persie's side 4-3 to book their first away win at Feyenoord since 2000.

St. Juste is now set to return to the club he played for between 2017 and 2019, during which he made 40 appearances and won one KNVB Beker and two Johan Cruyff Shields.
