Olsen excelled in a losing effort during Malmo's clash with Porto, making nine saves to keep the scoreline respectable at 2-1.

Freiburg defender Lienhart netted the only goal of the game in his side's 1-0 win over Salzburg.

Another German club to enjoy success in the latest Europa League fixtures, Stuttgart thrashed Maccabi Tel Aviv 4-1 to push within a point of the top eight.

Ousmane Diao (Midtjylland) 8.7

Diao put in a superb defensive showing during FC Midtjylland's 1-0 victory against Genk, producing a staggering 100% success rate in his duels and tackles.

The defender won nine aerial duels, four on the ground and completed three successful tackles - on top of 18 clearances.

Midfielders

Kiril Despodov (PAOK) 8.6

PAOK played out an entertaining 3-3 draw with Ludogorets that saw Despodov steal the show.

The Bulgarian grabbed a goal and an assist while also creating two big chances and completing 11 passes in the final third of the pitch.

Bence Otvos (Ferencvaros) 9

Otvos put in a superb all-round showing as Ferencvaros came from behind to beat Rangers 2-1, effectively ending the Scottish giant's knockout hopes.

Contributing both in attack and defence, Otvos scored his side's initial equaliser, created one big chance and completed three dribbles.

He also won 13 duels and four tackles to help Ferencvaros to a valuable victory.

Aral Simsir (Midtjylland) 8.8

Simsir made a huge impact in his hour on the pitch during Midtjylland's win over Genk.

The midfielder was a major creative threat with seven successful dribbles and two big chances created, while also contributing defensively with eight ground duels won.

Veteran Italian forward Bernardeschi netted both goals as Bologna came from behind to defeat Celta Vigo 2-1.

The 31-year-old was central to his side's victory and managed six shots on top of two big chances created and 14 passes in the final third.

Anderson Talisca (Fenerbahce) 9.7

Talisca stole the show in the Europa League this week, netting a hat-trick in Fenerbahce's 4-0 win against Brann.
