On a weekend in which various top players will be facing tough opponents, who should you be picking for your Fantasy Premier League team?

Here are the best players for FPL Gameweek 10 using Fantasy Football Hub’s AI predicted points. If you’re struggling to decide on which FPL move to make, get your AI Recommended Transfers right now!

Best Midfielder: Mohamed Salah vs Aston Villa (H) - 7.0 predicted points

It’s been four league defeats on the bounce for Liverpool, which presents a major concern ahead of the home game against Aston Villa. Their opponents have won all four in the same period to be level on points with them in the Premier League table.

Star man Mohamed Salah has provided one goal in this spell, taking him up to three goals and two assists for the season so far. Those aren’t disastrous numbers for Salah but are far below the very high standards that he set himself last campaign.

A rest in the League Cup in midweek could be crucial with Salah’s underlying numbers still encouraging in this spell - 12 shots in the box and four big chances. He has produced an attacking return every time Villa have visited Anfield in his six seasons at the club.

Midfield Gem: Dominik Szoboszlai vs Aston Villa (H) - 5.5 predicted points

Sticking with this same fixture, it’s important to note that despite the current league form, Liverpool remain heavy favourites to win and to score 2+ goals, which is reflected in three of their assets making the top ten for predicted points heading into Gameweek 10.

Somewhat surprisingly, it’s the 4.1% owned midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai sitting seventh in the points predictions on 5.5, ahead of Cody Gakpo who ranks tenth on 5.2 predicted points. The Hungarian has played every single minute so far this season, netting one goal and one assist.

He has hit the defensive contribution bonus in three of his last four league games, averaging 12.56 per 90, and Aston Villa are the type of opponent to keep Szoboszlai busy defensively.

He’s been promoted to the number ten role in three of the last four, making nine key passes.

Best Forward: Erling Haaland vs Bournemouth (H) - 8.1 predicted points

A rare blank in Gameweek 9 brought a six-game Premier League scoring streak to an end for Erling Haaland. Despite this, he remains the best captain option for FPL Gameweek 10 ahead of the visit of Bournemouth to the Etihad.

He still has 12 goal involvements from nine appearances this season: 11 goals and one assist. He also remains top for shots on target and goals in the last five gameweeks, despite a little regression in his underlying numbers.

Manchester City have taken ten points from a possible 15 in the last five gameweeks and are favourites to beat Bournemouth, who are ahead of them in the Premier League table. Haaland has never scored against them at the Etihad.

Forward Gem: Jarrod Bowen vs Newcastle United (H) - 4.7 predicted points

It’s been a dismal start to the campaign for West Ham, taking just one win and one draw from their opening nine league games as they slip to 19th in the Premier League table with three straight defeats.

The Hammers have three home games in their next four against West Ham, Burnley and Liverpool. However, their form at the London Stadium has been dreadful to date, with four straight defeats.

Their captain Jarrod Bowen remains central to any improvement in their form, with three goals and one assist from the 8.4% owned striker making him their top-performing fantasy asset. He continues to play as a winger despite being listed as a striker.

Chances are you’re about to lose.
