Cristiano Ronaldo will not play in Al Nassr's match against Al Riyadh this Monday, and the reason is reportedly how PIF - Saudi Arabia's public investment fund - is treating his club.

Fabrizio Romano reported the news of Ronaldo’s absence from Al Nassr’s match with Al Riyadh, stating that the absence "is not related to any physical problem, workload, or management of his fitness."

Later, A Bola cited a source from Al Nassr, reporting that Ronaldo is refusing to play due to his dissatisfaction with the way the PIF is handling Al Nassr, especially compared to the treatment given to their rivals, who are also managed by the same fund.

League leaders Al Hilal received significant investment again in this winter transfer window, unlike Ronaldo's team, despite requests from club coach Jorge Jesus.

Ronaldo is currently the second-highest top scorer in the Saudi League with 17 goals. His side is in third place with 43 points, level with Al Ahli, and three points behind leaders Al Hilal.
