Netherlands international Noa Lang revealed that his quick loan move from Napoli to Galatasaray was the result of a strained relationship with Antonio Conte.

The 26-year-old Noa Lang joined Napoli from PSV for a reported €25 million, but left the reigning Serie A champions after just six months to join Turkish giants Galatasaray on loan.

In ESPN's Transfer Deadline Show, Lang revealed that his swift departure stemmed from a strained relationship with manager Antonio Conte.

"How can I put this in a normal way... I didn't click with the trainer. Let's leave it at that," Lang said.

"I know that in the Netherlands you often think it's my fault, but one day the truth will come out. For now, I have a lot of respect for the club I'm under contract with. I have a good relationship with almost everyone at the club."

Lang admitted that he didn't expect to have any problems with the manager who brought him in just six months earlier: "I was his signing, so I was very surprised about that, but that's in the past now."

Lang played in the youth academies of Feyenoord and Ajax, but spent a year in Istanbul with Besiktas. The winger has earlier spoken about his love for the city, but when Galatasaray came knocking, Lang wasn't immediately sure what to do.

"To be honest, it took a while. The club speaks for itself. But I'm not someone who wants to leave after six months."

In his 27 appearances for Napoli, Lang scored one goal and assisted two in an up-and-down first half of the season for the Partenopei. Despite taking some time to adjust to Italian football on the pitch, Lang felt little was wrong besides it.

"Nine out of ten people didn't want me to leave either. I was well-liked within the group, I trained well every day, but in the minutes I had, people spoke ill of me. I totally disagreed with that. I did well within the playing style. At least, that's what I think."
