It hasn't been a great month for the Northern Jutland side. Their stadium conditions are struggling to cope with the Danish winter and the club is around 7 million EUROs in debt.
In addition they have now been forced to close down the kitchen at their training facility following an unannounced visit from the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration who discovered mouse droppings in the kitchen which provides breakfast and lunch for AaB's Superliga squad every day.
Chairman of the Board, Claus Fallingborg, confirms that mouse droppings were found in the basement.
"We are now taking all precautions and have therefore closed the kitchen. Now we have to clean it properly and close the holes that are there.'
"We follow all the recommendations of the Danish Food Safety Authorities," he emphasizes.
"We will bring in food from outside and the squad won't be affected by it. Its only the rest of us who will might struggle." says the AaB chairman.
Claus Fallingborg does not believe that there is any danger that the Superliga team has consumed food that has been in contact with mice.
"No - I am not an expert. But based on what we have been informed, there has been no contact.", says Fallingborg.
AaB are currently ninth in the Danish Superliga table and will face FC Midtjylland at home on Sunday.
