After eight successive defeats, Fredericia got back to winning ways as they secured a shocking 3-1 win away against Brondby who had no less than two men sent off.

FC Fredericia on Monday evening delivered a minor sensation at Brondby Stadium.

The visitors had lost eight successive matches before the clash but still ended up taking the three points through a 3-1 win.

Fredericia even fell behind 0-1, but fought back and ended up enjoying a two-man numerical advantage after red cards for Marko Divkovic and Noah Nartey.

There wasn't much to indicate the final result during the first ten minutes where Brondby seemed in full control and deservedly took the lead after 13 minutes when Nicolai Vallys searched into the Fredericia box and rolled the ball across goal for the 17-year-old Jacob Ambaek, who was left with a easy tap-in to give the home side an early advantage.

The visitors seemed to be overmatched but still looked dangerous on the counter and managed to restore parity when Oscar Buch hit the crossbar and the ball richocheted off the back of goalkeeper Patrick Pentz into the net after 23 minutes.

The equalizer visibly gave the visitors plenty of believe in themselves and just before the interval they took a schock lead when Oscar Buch headed home a corner kick.

Despite the dip, Brondby came out for the second half with good energy and created several dangerous attacks against Fredericia's low block.

Ambaek came close to equalizing after a few minutes, and both he and Benjamin Tahirovic tested goalkeeper Mattias Lamhauge with promising long-distance efforts.

With 20 minutes left, the game changed drastically as Marko Divkovic pulled down substitute William Madsen and was consequently sent off.

Brondby were outnumbered, and the match was decided when Madsen put the ball on a plate for the onrushing Eskild Dall, who easily scored to make it 3-1.

In the end Brondby were reduced to nine men when Noah Nartey was sent sent off for a dreadful challenge on Oscar Buch.
