The program for next season's Danish Superliga was announced on Friday with the news that newly crowned champions FC Copenhagen will travel to Viborg for their first game of the new season.

The reigning champions haven't got great memories from the last away game against Viborg. Back in March, Jakob Neestrup's men were ahead 2-0 at half-time, then threw away the lead and lost 2-3 to the Jutland team.

On Matchday 1 newly promoted Fredericia will face FC Nordsjaelland at home on Sunday 20 July.

OB, who won the Nordic Bet League in front of Fredericia, will host runner's up FC Midtjylland on the same Sunday.

The other matches of the first round are Vejle-Randers, Sonderjyske-AGF and Brondby-Silkeborg.

Only the first seven rounds of the upcoming season have been announced.

In the seventh round, Brondby, who won the bronze medals, will face FC Midtjylland at home on 31 August.

In the following round, the "New Firm" derby between Brondby and FC Copenhagen will take place. It will be played at Brondby Stadium at a time still to be determined.

A total of 22 rounds will be played in the regular season.
