After a disappointing end to the Danish Superliga season, the former Manchester City player has been sacked as head coach of the Aarhus club, say AGF in a press release after a thorough evaluation between the board, the management and the head coach himself.
"Together with Uwe, we have evaluated the development of the club as a whole, and we have come to the conclusion that the energy has been exhausted and that we need new inspiration."
"It is not isolated related to the results in the championship playoffs, but an overall assessment that it has been intense and demanding for everyone in the organization to move AGF as significantly as Uwe has done in his time at the club", says football director Carsten V. Jensen.
Uwe Rösler joined AGF in the summer of 2022, and he managed to secure bronze for the club in his first season.
