Senegal have announced a strong squad for this month’s international friendlies against Gambia and Peru.

The Lions of Teranga are preparing for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and will be using the game to test their readiness for the global showpiece.

To tackle these fixtures, coach Pape Thiaw has invited 28 players, with Bayern Munich striker Nicolas Jackson, former Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy and Metz star Habib Diallo making the cut.

Joining Mendy in the goalkeeping ranks are Le Havre’s Mory Diaw and Nice's Yehvann Diouf. Captain Kalidou Koulibaly will anchor the backline alongside Moussa Niakhate, Ismail Jakobs, and Antoine Mendy.

Senegal face Peru at the Stade de France on March 28th before taking on Gambia three days later.

The West Africans have been pooled in Group I at the World Cup alongside France, Norway, and a yet-to-be-decided team.

Their first game will be against Les Bleus on June 16th at MetLife Stadium before their next game against Erling Haaland’s Norway on June 22nd at Lincoln Financial Field Stadium in Philadelphia. Their last group match will be held on June 26th at the BMO Field in Toronto.
