The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed right tackle Luke Goedeke to a four-year, $90 million contract extension on Tuesday ahead of the start of the 2025 season.

Goedeke's new deal includes $50 million in guaranteed money. He will now be earning an average of $22.5 million per year.

The 26-year-old was ranked the 30th-best tackle out of 140 last season, placing 18th in run blocking (76.4) and 34th in pass blocking (75.8), all of which are career bests.

Besides allowing three sacks, Goedeke didn't allow a single quarterback hit last season in 542 pass blocking snaps.

Goedeke was originally selected in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Bucs and jumped into a full-time starter right away. He, unfortunately, missed four games in his rookie season due to a foot injury, but proceeded to play in all 17 games the following year.

In 2024, he was held out for four games after sustaining a concussion.

“I really never experienced anything like that,” said Goedeke on his concussion. ”It was very frustrating, because football has been a part of my life since I could walk. Not being able to play football, but also it was not having any indicators, like why am I not getting better?"

But now, the right tackle is all ready to go for the Bucs. Their season will start on September 7th against the Atlanta Falcons.

Chances are you’re about to lose.
