Canada is the beating heart of tennis this week as Toronto and Montreal host the latest hard-court tournaments. Follow all of Wednesday's action with Flashscore's Tennis Tracker.

05:40 CET - The last result of the night sees Taylor Fritz progress in a match which had a couple of rain delays. In the end, the American beats Roberto Carballes Baena 7-5, 7-6 (1) to make the third round in Toronto.

05:30 CET - Elina Svitolina is through to the third round in Montreal after getting past Kamilla Rakhimova 7-5, 6-2

05:00 CET - Following up on his title in DC, Alex De Minaur gets his National Bank Open campaign off to a solid start with a 6-4, 6-2 win against Francisco Comesana.

03:35 CET - Amanda Anisimova gets through to the third round in Montreal with a 6-4, 7-6 (4) victory over Lulu Sun in what were two very close sets of tennis.

03:30 CET - Eugenie Bouchard's tennis career has come to a close in the second round in Montreal. The former world number five falls 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 against Belinda Bencic in a close encounter.

03:25 CET - A couple of the women's matches in Montreal just wrapped up as well. Eva Lys keeps up her breakout year on the tour with a 6-3, 6-4 defeat of Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. As for Karolina Muchova, she is victorious over Antonia Ruzic 7-5, 7-5.

03:20 CET - Arthur Fils just completed his match, with the Frenchman getting past Pablo Carreno-Busta 6-3, 6-4 in a close contest.

03:15 CET - There were a couple of shock results that just wrapped up on the men's side. Fabian Marozsan takes out the Canadian number one, Felix Auger-Aliassime, 6-4, 6-4 in a stunning upset. Meanwhile, Stefanos Tsitsipas was defeated 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 by Christopher O'Connell.  

02:00 CET - Emma Raducanu advances in Montreal after a 6-2, 6-4 win over Peyton Stearns. The Brit keeps up her solid form in a good victory.

01:15 CET - Alejandro Davidovich Fokina kept his solid run going as the Spaniard gets the better of Corentin Moutet 6-4, 6-3. Meanwhile, in Montreal, Anna Kalinskaya also prevails, beating Elise Mertens 1-6, 7-6 (4), 6-2 in nearly two and a half hours.

01:00 CET - Frances Tiafoe survives quite the scare as he defeats Yosuke Watanuki 1-6, 7-5, 7-6 (5) to move on in Toronto. Jiri Lehecka also prevails with his 7-6 (2), 6-4 victory over MacKenzie MacDonald.

00:05 CET - Third seed Jessica Pegula has beaten Maria Sakkari 7-5, 6-4 to set up a third-round meeting with Anastasija Sevastova in Montreal.

23:30 CET - Jakub Mensik has beaten Tristan Boyer to move into the third round in Toronto, and Brandon Nakashima has also progressed.

22:38 CET - Jelena Ostapenko has also advanced in Montreal after beating Renata Zarazua 6-2, 4-6, 6-2.

22:24 CET - Second seed Iga Swiatek has comfortably dispatched Guo Hanyu 6-3, 6-1 in Montreal to move into the third round. Caty McNally is also through after stunning Rebecca Sramkova.

In Toronto, Flavio Cobolli has beaten Alexis Galarneau 6-4, 5-7, 6-4, while Gabriel Diallo has beaten Matteo Gigante 6-3, 7-6.

21:36 CET - Play is coming back across the courts in Toronto, and we have one completed result to report: Aleksandar Vukic has upset Cameron Norrie 6-3, 6-7, 6-3 to advance to the third round.

21:10 CET - Play is interrupted in Toronto due to rain.

20:03 CET - Lorenzo Sonego is through to the third round in Toronto after beating Bu Yunchaokete 6-1, 6-4. Sonego will next take on Andrey Rublev, who won earlier.

19:48 CET - Fourth seed Ben Shelton has needed just over an hour to beat Adrian Mannarino 6-2, 6-3 and march into the third round in Toronto.

Over in Montreal, Naomi Osaka has saved three match points to come back and beat Liudmila Samsonova 4-6, 7-6, 6-3 in stunning fashion.

Clara Tauson has also advanced with a comfortable win over Lucia Bronzetti.

19:41 CET - McCartney Kessler is also through to the third round in Montreal after coming back to beat Maya Joint 4-6, 6-4, 6-3.

19:30 CET - Moving back to Montreal, Latvian veteran Anastasija Sevastova has stunned world number 34 Magda Linette 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 to progress to the third round.

18:41 CET - Over in Toronto, just like Madison Keys in Montreal, sixth seed Andrey Rublev has breezed past Hugo Gaston 6-2, 6-3 to move into the third round at the Canadian Open.

The win is Rublev's 250th on hard court. 

18:20 CET - In the first result from Montreal for the day, sixth seed Madison Keys has beaten Laura Siegemund 6-2, 6-2 to cruise into the third round.

16:50 CET - Shortly after the hour, the action will get underway for the day in both Toronto and Montreal as the second rounds continue at the split-venue Canadian Open.

Plenty of big names are in action today, with the likes of Iga Swiatek, Ben Shelton and Jessica Pegula headlining.
