09:00 CET - Welcome back to our live coverage of the Monte Carlo Masters on quarter-final day, with four fantastic match-ups on the cards.

Play gets underway at 11:00 CET with a really enticing match between third seed Alexander Zverev and 19-year-old Joao Fonseca.

The pair have never played before, and Fonseca is playing in his first 1000 quarter-final. Meanwhile, it is Zverev's best run in Monaco since reaching the semi-finals in 2022.

That is followed by a meeting between Jannik Sinner and Felix Auger-Aliassime. The former's record-breaking run of 37 consecutive sets won came to an end against Tomas Machac in the third round, and he looked well off his best physically.

Auger-Aliassime will be the big underdog, but if Sinner is struggling again, the Canadian may have a chance. This is his best run at Monte Carlo, while Sinner reached the semis twice in 2023 and 2024.

Then Carlos Alcaraz goes head-to-head with Alexander Bublik for the very first time.

The world number one, who is the defending champion and looking to retain his place at the summit of the rankings this week, was extremely erratic in his three-set win over Tomas Martin Etcheverry, while the mercurial Bublik has been in great form.

Alcaraz will need to be at his best against a very dangerous opponent, who is in his maiden quarter-final at Monte Carlo.

Finally, Monegasque Valentin Vacherot will look to keep alive the biggest dream of his tennis career: winning his home tournament.

He's a formidable opponent for Alex De Minaur. His rise has continued to be nothing short of remarkable since he stunned the sport by winning the Shanghai Masters last year, with him guaranteed to enter the world's top 20 at the end of the week, and he'll have a rampant home crowd behind him against the world number six, who hardly plays his best tennis on clay.

Chances are you’re about to lose.
